Our Paulownia Crescent tail board is shaped from our popular Okoume Plywood version and come in oiled or varnish finish. (Oiled board in photos)

As with our other Paulownia boards - the Moorboards Surfie & Bull Nose Fishtail - the Crescent Tail is made from laminated Paulownia wood panels, with a core of Bamboo wood, for added strength. It has a convexed underside, which creates a cavitation effect in the water and this translates into more speed. The convex shape starts from the base of the rocker curve and runs the length of the board.

These boards are far lighter-weight than other wooden boards out there, and with a much greater bouyancy. They come in a wide array of grain patterns, though they are all 'book-matched' - meaning that the pattern on the left side of the board, is more or less exactly replicated on the right. This is also true of the underside.

The board is 110cm long (3'7"), 36.5cm wide, tapering to 33.5 at the tail.

Maybe you are after a shorter, wider board for playing out the back with fins on - it does that brilliantly.

Or maybe you are not particlarly tall and want something smaller, lighter and easier to handle as a simple bellyboard. Again, a great choice.
